INTRODUCTORY OFFER: CranioSacral Bodywork

I am offering 100 packages of 3 sessions each of craniosacral focused bodywork for $165 each package.

All sessions must be completed on the same horse, within 6 weeks and by October 1, 2025.

The 3 sessions must take place 1-2 weeks apart.

If you would like to add on 1 or 2 more sessions, they may be scheduled up to a month later. We won’t know this until after the 3rd and 4th sessions, and will decide when to schedule these accordingly.  The price will be $55 per additional session.  Any additional sessions must also be completed by October 1, 2025.

Please plan for 90 minutes for each session for my work (up to 60 mins) and your follow-up (20 mins).

My hands-on work will be up to 60 minutes, but may be shorter depending on your horse’s needs and response to the techniques.

Your follow-up work/care after each session:

Immediately after each session, it is preferred for you to hand-walk your horse for 20 minutes for the craniosacral experience to benefit your horse more fully.

If your horse would like water or needs to spend a few minutes in its stall to urinate, etc, that’s great. We can discuss the appointment and your horse during this time, or you and your horse can have some quiet time together. It is ideal to not turn out your horse with a herd during this time if not necessary.

For the next 72 hours, hand-walking, ground-driving/long lining, light/flat ground pole work is ok though.

I would limit or avoid too much lunging in circles during this time because your horse might not be fully ready for that much balancing and control.

Ground poles and hand walking do contribute to your horse’s fitness in particular with smaller stabilizing muscles that are typically closer to the skeleton. Think yoga vs high intensity workouts. 😊

So what will a craniosacral session look like?

CranioSacral bodywork sessions may help with head pain, neck pain, back pain, chronic/undiagnosed lameness, restriction of motion, neurological dysfunction, behavioral problems, metabolic dysfunction, or overall wellness issues.

In general, craniosacral techniques offer a slower, gentler process for your horse’s body than some other techniques.

The touch can be very, very gentle which I LOVE! And the process can be slow. I am feeling how the tissue responds and then how your horse responds and releases. There may be pauses for your horse to process. And I may decide that only a few techniques will be used during a session based on your horse’s responses and/or releases. This may take less than 60 minutes.

These appointments will not include: functional osteopathic bodywork; musculoskeletal assessment; standard bodywork; thorough body, gait, or rider analysis; stretching; or corrective exercises.

I may not be very conversational about everyday things because I am focused on the craniosacral rhythm in your horse, the tissue response, and your horse’s communication and response.

I welcome and value your feedback about how your horse responded to the sessions including any performance, behavior or emotion issues that may have changed. If your vet, farrier, and/or trainer has provided feedback, that is valuable to me as well. I firmly believe that we all work as a team for your horse’s wellness.

If you have questions or would like to get on my schedule, I am happy to chat with you on a phone call. Let’s find a time that works well for you. Or send me a text or DM on the socials.

Contraindications for CranioSacral bodywork in horses include:

any alteration of the intracranial pressure, acute stroke, acute skull fracture, acute concussion, cerebral aneurysm. We will need to consult with your veterinarian prior to an appointment if you are concerned about your your horse has been diagnosed with any of these conditions.

Functional Osteopathic Bodywork

Functional Osteopathic Bodywork is a more structured process than Standard Bodywork. FO Bodywork is a series of gentle hands-on techniques to find ease and restrictions in the musculoskeletal system then work to improve the horse’s movement and function.
It does not include lameness testing or chiropractic movement. It is not a replacement for veterinarian care or medical treatment.

This experience is ideal for the horse that:

    • is generally sore,
    • has never or rarely had bodywork,
    • has recently been released back to work by a vet after an injury or illness,
    • is aging with new creaks and cracks,
    • deserves a lil’ extra love,
    • trains for performance in a competitive setting,
    • takes the winter off for a lil’ RnR, or
    • is your best boy or mare and you want to monitor your horse’s general fitness.

I ask that you schedule all 5 sessions prior to the start of an Intensive so we may coordinate our calendars.

NOTE: During the Intensive and a day or two after, it is recommended to not ask your horse for a typical or demanding workout under saddle or in-hand in addition to the Intensive. This allows the horse’s body and mind to adjust to the work being done during appointments. It is recommended to gradually return to normal workouts over the course of the next 3 workouts.

Service Information

Equine Functional Osteopathic Bodywork

Your horse’s muscles and fascia should be supple to the touch. Movement and touch can help release the spasm or tension as well as strengthen its stabilizing muscles and soft tissue structures.

When I work with your horse, I use a mixture of techniques or modalities based on your concerns and what your horse and its body tells me.

Standard appointments typically last 1-1½ hours and include a conversation about your concerns and updates, visual observations of your horse standing and moving, pictures and videos to capture the current status, bodywork, and maybe stretching and even corrective exercises. I may use a variety of brushes, curries, and a massage gun depending on what we are trying to accomplish.

Functional Osteopathic Bodywork includes Musculoskeletal Assessment as well as Body, Gait and Riding Analysis,

I also offer Corrective Exercises and Mini Teaching Appointments at your barn.

Coming soon: All clients have access to a private Dropbox folder where I share photos and videos from their appointments and they can send me photos between appointments. There is no extra cost for this and clients do not need a Dropbox account.

Service Area

My primary service area is within 1-hour of Madison, WI. I am willing to travel further based on the number of horses and a trip charge may apply. The pin markers on the map indicate where my clients are located. I work with training, boarding and private barns.

I try to schedule as many appointments in barn or geographic groups when possible. The maximum number of horses in a day is six.

If you would like to join on an existing day, please plan for a 90-minute window so I can touch base with you about your horse and concerns, work with the horse for 60 minutes, take before and after pictures and videos, and then make my post-session notes. Also, if you are at a different barn, please give me travel time.

As I make new connections, my service area continues to expand. I am currently looking for introductions in the highlighted areas.  If you know someone with a horse who would value my services, I would greatly appreciate an introduction. If that’s not your style, but you are comfortable to share my contact information, I would greatly appreciate that too!
